DESCRIPTION:Join Heron Haven Nature Center for an invasive species volunteer clean-up day!\nVolunteers will be helping Heron Haven remove invasive bush honeysuckle from the forest understory.\n—————————————————————————\nWe encourage volunteers to bring their own loppers\, pruning shears\, and hand saws to help remove Honeysuckle. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves\, safety glasses\, and water bottle to ensure their safety and comfort. We also recommend wearing closed-toe shoes\, pants\, and a long sleeve shirt. A water refill station and some snacks will be provided.\n—————————————————————————\nParticipation in this volunteer activity does require signing Heron Haven’s safety waiver which will be available the day of.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 16th from 9:30AM – 10AM\n\n\nJoin us for Heron Haven’s September Photography Club meeting!  The theme this month is flowers! The late summer and early fall blooms have begun\, and we want to see what you can spot. If you want a photo or a few showcased during the clubs next meeting\, please email them to Craig. (Contact info below)\n\nThe club is led by Craig Horobik with assistance from Mike Benkis. Craig is an adventure photographer that frequently travels to various National Parks\, and Mike is an award-winning professional wildlife photographer. Both teach photography at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo.\nThis club is available to all Heron Haven Members. A link to become a member is at the bottom or on the Heron Haven website.\n\nPhotography Club will meet on a monthly basis to better photography skills\, participate in fun challenges\, and create a community of nature photographers.
